About

LUCIE GLEDHILL

I work with precious metals, predominantly wire. Favouring techniques such as weaving wire and making chain, both repetitive processes that require a sedentary making stance similar to working with textiles.

I deliberately use a low-tech approach to making and often apply myself to the miniature world, where making is done whilst holding my breath, in complete silence.

I am co-founder of Made By Ore teaching studio which offers technical workshops to young people and adults in east London www.MADEBYORE.com

Currently I work for Romilly Saumarez-Smith, in a unique collaboration, which requires me to interpret Romilly’s verbalized designs into pieces of jewellery.
Together we have launched a website www.SAVAGEANDCHONG.com
